Lung Cancer Types And Treatments

Lung cancer develops in the cells that line the bronchi (airways), leading from the trachea (windpipe) to the lungs. Large cell carcinoma is the least common.

STEPS TO DIAGNOSIS

A chest X-ray will usually show whether cancer is present, but other tests will confirm the diagnosis and give the more detailed information that is required before any decision can be made about treatment. A sample of sputum will be analyzed in the cytology lab. A test called a bronchoscopy may be performed under local anesthetic to allow a doctor to look inside the lung and do a biopsy (take a tissue sample).

Alternatively, the doctor may perform a mediastinoscopy, which involves inserting a small telescope via an incision in the neck to look at the chest and lymph nodes and take samples.

SURGERY

The treatment plan will be based on the type of cancer and whether it has spread beyond the lung. An operation to remove the tumor may be the best option for non-small cell cancer. This may involve removing all or part of an affected lung. In some treatment trials, radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy may be used together with surgery in various combined treatments. Surgery is rarely the right treatment for small cell cancer, since it is unlikely that the cancer will be confined to the lung and so it would be impossible to remove all the cancer with an operation.

RADIATION

This can be very useful for relieving pain and in situations where a tumor is causing other problems, such as blocking an important blood vessel or causing a lung to collapse. It is also being used in new ways in clinical trials, such as giving it in several daily doses for people with non-small cell cancer or combined with chemotherapy for some people with small cell cancer.

CHEMOTHERAPY

Anti-cancer drugs that destroy the tumor cells or inhibit them from multiplying are the best option for treating small cell lung cancer. In many patients, combination chemotherapy is recommended over therapy with a single agent.

Take small garlic and cut into pieces. Mix it with 10 g of honey. Wait for an hour. Use this daily twice after meals.
Take some honey in a container and smell it when you find it difficult to breathe. It helps you to breathe properly.
Mix 5ml of honey to 5ml of gooseberry extract and take daily in the morning.
Mix 5ml of lemon juice in a cup of water and take at meals time. But make sure that you have no allergy for lemon.
The roots of bitter gourd work wonderfully. Make the paste of roots and to a teaspoon of paste add a teaspoon honey. Take this daily at night time regularly for a month. You can see the difference yourself.
Take a handful of drumstick leaves and boil them in 200 ml water for 5 minutes. Add salt, pepper and lemon juice to taste. This works like a tonic.
Take a teaspoon of ginger juice and mix to a teaspoon of decoction (a table spoon of fenugreek seed can be boiled in a cup of water) of fenugreek seeds. Add 2 teaspoons of honey and take daily.
Take a teaspoon of turmeric powder with a glass of milk, two or three times daily. It acts best early in the morning when taken on an empty stomach.
Use ginger and garlic in an herbal tea to control asthma. Boil a small piece of garlic in a cup of milk and take daily to control asthma in its preliminary stages.
During the attack, massage mustard oil mixed with little camphor over the chest. This will loosen up phlegm and help in breathing.
Vitamin B6 also prevents asthma. Daily intake of 50 mg of B6 helps prevent it. But take this under the advice of your doctor.
Soak some dry figs in water at night and drink the water with figs in the morning in an empty stomach to clear mucus from bronchial tubes. You can observe the difference within two months.
Mix mashed garlic and horseradish (100 g of each), 150 g of butter and 600 g of honey. Heat this mixture till honey dissolves. Keep it in an air tight container. Take 1 tbsp 1 hour before meal for 2 months.
Boil 5 g of dry crushed quince leaves in a cup of water and steep for 1 hour. Strain and take 2 tbsp 3-4 times a day before meal. The remedy can reduce asthma attack.
Boil 2 tbsp of mashed turnip put in a cup of water for 15 min. Filter and drink ¼ cup 4 times a day or 1 cup before bed.

Addendum: Reishi is a mushroom that has the ability to reduce allergies and stops chemicals that cause inflammation including histamine. It is also can be used as an immune tonic.

Asthma patients should take some precautions in food.

They should use fresh vegetables and fruits, sprouts and cereals.
Should take foods that are low in fats and carbohydrates.
Should avoid deep fries, processed foods, pickles, strong tea, coffee and alcohol.
Light exercise and breathing exercises are very helpful.
Fasting once a week is good for their health.

Make a big healthy green salad.  A delicious salad + one slice of pizza is far healthier than eating 1/3 of the pizza.

Suggest vegetarian.  If not a whole pizza, ask if the pizzeria will do a ½ and a half pizza.  Vegetarian pizzas are healthier and have less calories than meat ones.  Serve your vegetarian pizza with a scrumptious fruit salad!

Skip the soda. Imbibe healthier, calorie free flavored seltzer.

Skip the bread sticks and wings. You’re already eating pizza, do I really need to explain this one?

Buy your own dry bread sticks.  If you must have bread sticks there are some less greasy, lower calorie ones.  They’re dry and they come in rods.  













Tips & Warnings


To save more calories you can pat your slice down with a napkin.  This can save as much as 5 grams of fat! With a little foresight you don’t have to dread pizza night!

Tips for handling food allergies

Food allergy is an abnormal response to a food, which is triggered by the immune system. Food allergies can cause mild or severe discomfort and often enough, even lead to death. The most common food allergies involve:

Fish and shellfish, such as shrimp, lobster and crab

Milk and dairy products

Eggs

Nuts and peanuts

However, food allergies should not prevent you from going out and enjoying a tasty meal in a nice restaurant. If you follow certain tips, you have nothing to worry about.

1. Find where the food allergens may be hiding

Sometimes it is not easy spot food allergens, since they may be hidden in places you normally wouldn’t even think of. Let’s see how you can avoid food allergens, according to the food you are allergic to:

If you are allergic to milk and dairy products, hidden food allergens may be found in hot dogs, canned tuna, margarine made from corn oil, as well as chocolate chips, coconut cream flavoring and grilled steaks.

If you are allergic to eggs, hidden ingredients may be found in milky way or snickers bars, nougat, bagels, pretzels and pasta in prepared foods.

If you are allergic to nuts, you should avoid granola.

If you are allergic to fish and shellfish, you should avoid Caesar salad, foods with omega-3 fatty acids (like salmon), baby cereals and soy milk.

If for some reason they refuse to send you the menu, you should take this as a negative sign.

3. Talk to the chef

Call the restaurant and ask to talk to the chef. Explain to him that you have a food allergy and ask for his professional opinion on what you can eat. Ask for alternative dishes as well as for special ways your food can be cooked so that your health will not be at risk. If it is possible, go to the restaurant and ask to speak to the chef in person. It is best if you go over there early in the week, at a time when he will not be that busy and will have more time to devote to you. Under no circumstances should you feel embarrassed talking to the chef. Your safety is what matters the most, so it is absolutely crucial to have all your questions answered before deciding to eat over there. If you notice that the chef is reluctant talking to you, refuses to answer all your questions, or is being vague, then you should not bother eating in that restaurant.

4. Allergy cards

It is important to have your allergy written down somehow to protect yourself in case something goes wrong. There are available printable allergy cards on line that you can get for free. You can also ask the chef to sign this card every time he delivers your order. if you travel to a foreign country you can have your allergy cards translated in the language spoken over there.

5. Bring your medications with you

It is better to be safe than sorry, so you should always carry your food allergy medications with you whenever you go out to eat.

Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids reduce inflammation and produce sinus health.  They are found in cold water fish such as salmon, herring, sardines and anchovy.  They are also found in olive oil

Bananas are said to have chemicals that relieve allergy symptoms (unless you’re allergic to bananas).  Eat one banana a day.

Water cress is high in a multitude of vitamins.  Eat it in salads, sandwiches etc.

An herbal remedy for allergies is usually one that has the ability to relieve congestion, loosen mucous, and sooth inflammation.  Of course, don’t overlook the importance of the ones that strengthen your immune system.

Eucalyptus is strongly anti bacterial, antiseptic and stimulant with expectorant and antibiotic properties.  It helps loosen chest congestion and quiets a cough.

Red Clover is used to ease allergy related asthma symptoms.  It is a blood and lymph cleanser, and  has antispasmodic and expectorant qualities.

Alfalfa is thought to relieve the symptoms of allergies and in addition is a great nutrient to help support the nervous system and help inflamed mucous membranes return to normal.  Some people have reported allergic reactions to alfalfa, so if your symptoms worsen stop taking it.

Apple Cider Vinegar is effective in killing 89% of all known bacteria.  It is rich in many vitamins and minerals.  It reduces the amount of mucous produced and soothes sore throats. 

Rose Hips are high in Vitamin C and help enhance the immune system and fight off illness.

Astragalus is highly antiviral and stimulates the immune system by increasing the presence of T-cells in the body.  It not only helps ward off illness it increases the body’s ability to remove toxins.

Irish Moss is red algae that grows in the Atlantic coast of Europe and North America.  It lessens the symptoms of cold and flu and when consumed in the winter is considered to prevent upper respiratory ailments of all kinds.

Stinging Nettle is a natural antihistamine.  Studies show that taking about 300 milligrams daily of stinging nettle will offer relief for most people, although the effects may only last a few hours.  Some herbalists suggest that taking nettle over a long period of time (two years or more) will eliminate allergies.

Mullein leaf is a great way to reduce the itchy, watery eyes and runny/ stuffy nose symptoms of allergies.

Nasal Saline Irrigations

Normal saline solution is an effective way to wash pollens out of your nose and sooth irritated mucous membranes.

You can use a bulb syringe, netti pot, nasal spray bottle or simply pour a little saline solution in your palm, close off one nostril and sniff the solution from your palm.  Blow your nose and repeat with the other nostril.  Repeat every 2 to 4 hours as needed.

Sterile saline solution can be purchased in single use doses, but it’s expensive.  It’s less expensive and easy to make your own

1 cup warm distilled water
1/4 to ½ teaspoon sea salt (or table salt)
pinch of baking soda (optional)

Dissolve the salt (and baking soda if using) in the water and put it into a jar or bottle with a tight fitting lid.   Bacteria can grow in this solution so if the solution isn’t all used up in 24 hours pour the remainder out, wash the container and make a fresh batch.

Other helpful hints

Reduce stress.  Stress causes the body to produce cortisol which causes irritation and inflammation in the blood vessels and mucous membranes.  To reduce stress, have a massage, or exercise, or drink a cup of chamomile or other nervine herb tea.  Exercise not only builds the entire body and all it’s systems, it also reduces stress.
Exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
Eat a healthy diet.

Yes, there we are, right back to that healthy lifestyle again!  Exercise and eating healthy foods benefits your entire body and, over a period of time you may see a reduction of allergy symptoms from that alone.  Some people have reported their allergies completely disappeared with prolonged adherence to a healthier lifestyle.

It is widely known that the best chance to reduce these fatality numbers is through early detection. There are two major components of early detection of cancer: screening and education to promote early diagnosis.

Regular use of established screening tests can prevent the development of cancer.  Either through identification and removal or treatment abnormalities, screening tests can improve survival and decrease mortality by detecting cancer at an early stage when treatment is more effective.  It is important to note that screening refers to testing in individuals who have no symptoms for a particular disease) (4).  This makes sense because in many cases symptoms are not present before cancer is diagnosed.

Early detection of cancer through regular screening has been shown to reduce the number of deaths from cancers of the colon and rectum, breast, and uterine cervix. For instance, in addition to detecting cancer early, regular screening can, in many cases, prevent colorectal cancer altogether.  This is because some polyps, or growths, can be found and removed before they have the chance to turn into cancer (4).

Survival rates improve dramatically when cancer is diagnosed early and the disease is confined to the organ of origin.  The relative 5-year survival rate for colorectal cancer when diagnosed at an early stage before it has spread is about 90%. But only about 4 out of 10 colorectal cancers are found at that early stage. Once the cancer has spread to nearby organs or lymph nodes, the 5-year relative survival rate goes down, and if cancer has spread to distant organs (like the liver or lung) the rate is about 11% (4).

A standard 5-year survival rate refers to the percentage of patients who live at least 5 years after their cancer is diagnosed; it includes people with colorectal cancer who may die of other causes, such as heart disease. Five-year relative survival rates are adjusted for patients dying of other diseases, so they reflect the chances of not dying specifically from colorectal cancer.  (ACS)

Another striking example is the fact that nine out of 10 women can survive breast cancer simply by detecting it early.  Prognosis of a breast cancer depends largely upon its stage and grade at diagnosis, 5-year survival rates ranging from 84% in women diagnosed with Stage 1 disease to 18% in women with Stage 4 disease.

Education to promote early diagnosis should encompass the increased awareness of new screening tests and possible warning signs of cancer, among physicians, nurses and other health care providers as well as among the general public.  People without symptoms or special risks need to be aware of these screening methodologies and to be sure they are communicated to the physician.

National organizations such as American Cancer Society (ACS), National Cancer Institute (NCI), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) are dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.  A table below represents the generally accepted screening methods based on cancer type for your reference.

Acne surgery for cysts and pustules:

Acne pustules (also called white heads) and cysts will heal significantly more quickly when they are surgically drained. Opening and draining large acne lesions can also prevent subdermal rupture, which causes a large inflammatory response, and can enhance the cosmetic appearance of the treated individual.

Surgical drainage of pustules involves nicking the pimple with a small needle and then gently draining the lesion. Occasionally a very small incision may be required. However, rather than making ever larger incisions, very large cysts and nodules are best treated with steroid injections as described below.

Intralesional steroid injection of acne:

Nodular or cystic acne responds well to the injection of corticosteroids directly into the lesion. Injected steroids can quickly and dramatically decrease the size of nodules and cysts. The best steroid to use is triamcinolone acetonide, also called Kenalog, which will remain deposited for months at the injection site without the risk of systemic side effects.

What is Cancer?

Tumours are classified into whether they are benign or malignant. Benign tumours are those which, whilst growing in a uncontrolled manner, do not spread beyond the confines of their anatomical boundaries. They are also able to spread to distant parts of the body by invading the blood and lymphatic systems. What are the Risk Factors for developing Breast Cancer?

Some women with one, or even a few risk factors, never go on to develop breast cancer, whilst there are many women with breast cancer who have no apparent risk factors.

The Following are known risk factors:

Having had cancer in one breast: this increases 3 to 4 fold, the risk of developing a new breast cancer, unrelated to the first, in the other breast, or in another part of the same breast.

Getting older: the risk of breast cancer increases with age, the peak incidence occurring in the 55 to 59 age group. Whilst breast cancer predominantly affects older women, it can occur in women under 30 years of age.

Family history of breast cancer: having a first degree relative (mother, sister or daughter) with breast cancer increases your risk of having breast cancer yourself.

Predisposing breast conditions: history of certain breast conditions, such as atypical lobular or ductal hyperplasia, and lobar carcinoma in-situ, increases the risk of developing breast cancer.

Genetics: carriers of alterations of the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes are at higher risk of developing breast cancer. Women suspected to have genetic risk for breast cancer should undergo genetic risk assessment by a specialist (ideally in a cancer genetics clinic). Women with this BRCA mutation have about a 5 – 10 times increased risk for developing breast cancer compared to women without this mutation. They also tend to present with breast cancer at a much earlier age.

Being Overweight

Alcohol intake

Race: caucasian women have been found to be at slightly higher risk of developing breast cancer than their African-American, Hispanic, Native American and Asian counterparts.

Presence of other cancers in the family: a positive family history of cancers of the ovaries, uterus, cervix or colon increases the risk of you developing breast cancer.

Excessive exposure to radiation

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): long term use of combined oestrogen and progesterone increases the risk of breast cancer.

Late childbirth: having your first child after the age of 35 or never having children increases your risk of breast cancer.

Early menarche: if you had your first period before the age of 12 years, your risk is increased.

Late menopause: if you reach menopause very late, this would also increase your risk of breast cancer.

What are the Symptoms?

Breast cancer, in its early stages, usually has no symptoms. As the tumour grows, some of the following symptoms may be noticed:

• Lump in the breast or underarm that does not change in size with your mensus. Lumps due to breast cancer are typically painless.
• Changes in the colour or skin of the breast, areola or nipple (e.g. puckering, dimpling or scaling)
• Change in the nipple, such as retraction (pulled in nipple), itching or burning sensation, or discharge from the nipple.
• A marble-like hardened area under the skin of the breast.
• Change in the size or shape of the breast

What Can Help Decrease the Risk of Developing Breast Cancer?

A healthy balanced diet, regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding over-consumption of alcohol, will help decrease the chances of developing breast cancer, along with a host of other diseases. Minimizing the use of Hormone Replacement Therapy to as short a time as possible will also minimize risk.

Having regular screening mammograms will not decrease the risk of developing breast cancer, but it enables the best chance of early detection, where treatment is generally more successful.

How is Breast Cancer Diagnosed?

Many women present to their doctors with breast symptoms which do not turn out to be due to cancer. Common benign conditions of the breast include fibroadenomas and fibrocystic disease of the breast. However, all new breast changes should be evaluated by a doctor.

Doctors generally make the diagnosis of breast cancer by employing what is commonly known as the “Triple Test”. As its name suggests, there are three parts to it:

(i) Clinical Examination
(ii) Imaging of the Breast
(iii) Breast Biopsy

1. Clinical Examination

Breast examination by a doctor involves inspecting and palpation of all 4 quadrants (the breast is typically categorized into 4 parts) of both breasts, the area under the nipples, and under both arms to feel for lymph node enlargement.

2. Imaging of the Breast

Mammography is the commonest test used to detect breast cancer. In younger women who tend to have much denser breast tissue, mammograms may be difficult to read and doctors may request for other imaging methods instead.

Benign breast lumps are typically rounded with smooth edges. Cancers, by contrast, usually appear denser with an irregular edge. The surrounding tissue may also be distorted by invading cancer cells. Cancers may also be associated clusters of calcium flecks which show up on mammograms as bright white dots.

Ultrasound of the breast is a good way to focus on areas of the breast which are of particular concern, such as in a region where a lump is felt. It is also frequently done in younger women with denser breast tissue in whom mammograms may not be suitable.

MRIs are sometimes used to assist in the screening of women at high risk of breast cancer, obtaining more detailed assessment of an area of particular concern found on mammogram or ultrasound, as well as in the monitoring for recurrence after treatment.

3. Breast Biopsy

Fine-Needle Aspiration

Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) involves collecting a small sample of breast tissue using a long, thin needle and a syringe. FNAs are done under local anaesthesia. Mammograms or ultrasounds are often used to help locate the area of concern. Cells aspirated are then sent to a pathology laboratory for staining and interpretation.

Core / Mammotome Biopsy

This is similar to the FNA, however, in this case a much larger needle is used to obtain a “worm” of breast tissue rather than just some cells as in that obtained by an FNA. The core biopsy is also done under local anaesthesia and it gives doctors more breast tissue to work on, increasing the accuracy of diagnosis.

Open Surgical Biopsy

This requires a cut in the skin, in order to remove a sample of the lump, or sometimes, the entire lump. This method, whilst being the most accurate method of differentiating benign from cancerous lesions, is a lot more invasive than the previously discussed methods.

Your breast surgeon will advise you on the most appropriate method for obtaining a biopsy sample for you.

Factors Which Affect Prognosis:

Several factors are know to affect the likelihood of successful treatment and the risk of recurrence.

These would include the following:

• The stage of the cancer (size of tumour, whether it has spread to the lymph nodes or to other parts of the body)
• The type of breast cancer (eg. tubular, mucinous, papillary)
• Whether the tumour is hormone receptor (estrogen/progesterone receptors) positive or negative
• Histological grade
• Human epidermal growth factor type 2 receptor (HER2) gene amplification and/or overexpression
• Whether the tumour is a new one or a recurrence
• The age, menopausal status and general health of the woman

Allergies and Depression

Depression is one possible symptom of allergies and food intolerances.

There are many types of depression, ranging from a somewhat negative outlook, through to full-blown major depression.

Because different people can experience an allergy to the same trigger in different ways, it is impossible to say that a specific type of depression characterizes an allergy symptom.

To illustrate, if your skin type is oily, your doctor may suggest alcohol based solutions as these will help to dry out your skin. On the other hand, he will probably avoid oily treatments like creams and lotions for you.

2. Severe Acne

With some acne sufferers the disorder may become more severe with increasing age. Things are even more challenging when you have oily skin. If it is not possible to remove the whole tumour then sometimes only a part of it is removed, but this can still help.

Radiation and chemotherapy are also options when it comes to treating brain tumours, but these come with harsh side effects including loss of hair, drowsiness and nausea.

Radiosurgery is also used to treat brain tumours. This involves directing powerful beams of radiation directly at the tumours, killing them without damaging the rest of the surrounding area. However, this can also lead to headaches and fatigue.

As all treatments can sometimes lead to problems with speech, thought and vision, they may often require some sort of follow up treatment as well as the initial treatment.

The Original Bible Diet: There Was More Than Just One

What does the Bible, what several faiths believe to be the Word of God, say about nutrition and healthy eating? Apparently, it says much. Was there an “original Bible diet”? Evidently, yes. Was there only just one? Apparently not. In actuality, there were more than one original Bible diet.  Indeed, there were two distinct diets during two different stages of early recorded history. Perhaps, three can even be considered.  And all three were implemented for different reasons and at different times in antiquity.

In a study of the Bible, one finds at least two different “original Bible diets” recorded in the Bible which transpired during two distinct periods of history. There is also a third Bible diet which may or may not have been actually included with the very first recorded Bible diet. The three were Biblical accounts written by Moses the ex-Egyptian noble, ex-fugitive, shepherd and whom many in at least three major religions in the world, consider to be the “deliverer” of the Children of Israel. He also figures greatly, historically speaking, as a lawgiver, judge, administrator, military commander and strategist.

The first recorded Biblical account reads as follows in the first book of the Bible, Genesis chapter 1, verse 29. It took place before the so-called “fall” of man. In other words, before man “fell into sin” from his state of God-created perfection due to his willful disobedience.

“And God said, Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat.”

Thus, it was recorded by Moses that God spoke to Adam in the Garden of Eden, (which many scholars and archaeologists today believe was in the nation of Iraq north of the capital city of Baghdad).

The first original Biblical diet as recorded in Genesis “before the Fall”, is comprised of the following:

Grains: Wheat, corn, rye, barley, rice, millet, oats and buckwheat.

Seeds: Sunflower, sesame, flax, and pumpkin seeds, etc.

Legumes: Soybeans, lentils, peas, peanuts and other beans.

Succulents ( those containing seeds): Eggplant, okra, bell pepper, squash, green beans, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes and melons.

“…and every tree in which the fruit of a tree yield seed…”

This category is the woody, perennial plants, shrubs or bushes such as:

Fruit trees: Citrus fruit, sub-acid fruit, sweet fruit, and neutral fruit.

Nuts: Almonds, pecans, cashews, brazil nuts, walnuts, chestnuts, filberts, acorns and pine nuts.

One can also read in Gen. 1:30 that God was supposed to have spoken further to Adam, the first man, concerning a specific diet tailor made not only for Adam but for the animal kingdom as well. One reads that originally, the green herbs were given by God as food for the animals:

“And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth…I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.”  (This is considered by some students of the Bible to be perhaps a second original Bible diet added at a later period.)

The third diet, after the “Fall”

However, one can read that later after the period of the “fall” of man from a state of perfection, (Gen. 3:17,18), there was an addition to his diet. Perhaps this was to help fight the disease, sickness and infirmities which had by then entered humanity and the earth as a result of Adam’s and his wife, Eve’s disobedience.

Some Biblical scholars believe that there was needed, supposedly, a natural reinforcement to the constitution of man which had now become weakened. This addition remains a part of our diets to this very day.

“And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife…cursed is the ground for thy sake…and thou shalt eat the herb of the field”. Now, we observe that herbs of the earth, (root vegetables or vegetables) were added. Also added were certain types of meat, fish, and cattle.

Some of these vegetables and herbs of the earth include:

Leafy herbs: Celery, cabbage, kale chard lettuce, etc.

Flowers: Globe artichoke, broccoli, cauliflower.

Roots: Carrots, beets, potatoes, turnips, etc. (1)

Not all fruit and vegetables are equal. A pyramid or a hierarchy of Bible food has been created according to how different seeds are propagated and germinated within a tree, plant or herb.

There are three different groups of plant food which are very distinctly individual. They in turn satisfy different nutritional and health needs. Sometimes persons commonly use the terms fruit, herbs and vegetable loosely and interchangeably, yet the Bible makes a clear distinction between the three groups.

The Bible health plan indicates that fruit, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and legumes are the foundation of a healthy diet. Herbs, safe, clean meat (poultry, fish, and certain forms of cattle and herds), meat by-products and vegetable oils are optional but also form essential elements in a building block that constitutes a Bible Food Pyramid. Over recent years, there have been several “diets” which claim to come from the Bible. However, upon careful examination this has not proven to be fact. Obviously, the only original Bible Diet is the one mentioned and recorded in the Book Genesis, “the beginning.”

Some vegetarians and vegans have taken the Bible and converted it into a platform for their eating styles. As a matter of fact, the Biblical diet plan may seem similar to vegetarian, kosher or vegan diets. However, in the beginning there was no need for kosher food as everything God was recorded as having created was “clean” and perfect to begin with.

The written account of the beginning of mankind according to the Bible, is very clear and specific in it’s recommendation for a healthy and nutritious diet. Man, over the years seems to be intent in eating in his self-determined manner according to his likes and dislikes.

Whatever the facts are concerning nutrition and healthy eating, one fact does stand out: there was more than simply one original Bible diet. No matter what newer renditions and interpretations of the Bible there may be, there were more than one original Bible diet.

We normally associate acne with teenage and menopause, but the truth is that acne strikes everyone at least once in their lives. Acne is the result of your sebaceous glands producing excess sebum. Acne | How to Prevent and Treat Acne

Scars are the worst remnants of acne as they can permanently stay on the skin. They are the after shock of acne that might stay for a lifetime, even make-ups cannot work enough to cover the crater-like mark on the skin. A skin problem can only be avoided by learning what causes them and in this case, it is acne that causes the acne scars. All the triggering factors of acne should be considered to prevent the end result, which is a scar. To prevent acne scars, you will need a face cream and antibiotic cream.

Topical acne prevention:

Wash your face gently no matter how hard you hate the acne on your skin. Use a nice, moisturizing cleanser that never dries your skin excessively. Never wash your face more than 3 times a day because if you overwash, your skin will be more irritable to rashes. Most of the time, the main topical medication people are advised to use by the doctors and advertisements is Benzoyl peroxide.

I am against this. It is good at treating acne but not so good if you are to use it for the long term.

Garlic: Squash a clove of garlic and mix with a cup of hot water. Then soak a clean piece of cloth in the solution and press over the affected area softly. You can directly rub the garlic clove on your skin but it can produce burning sensation. Apply it before going to bed so you can get rid of the smell after washing off your face in the morning.

Tea tree oil: Apply this wonder to your skin and see your blemishes disappear quickly. You will be blessed with a refreshed skin. Best is to dilute it with water and revive your damaged skin.

Lemon: Lemon is a renowned skin refresher. Slice the lemon in halves and rub over the affected area. You can also squeeze out the juice and apply to invigorate your skin.

What Is Acne?

Acne is commonly known as pimples, it is a skin condition that commonly afflicts people during their teenage years. Acne pre-dominantly affects the face but can also show up on the back, neck, shoulders and chest. While most common in teenagers it can appear on adults as well. Neither race or gender is an indicator of acne as it affects male and female and all races equally.

Eye Cancer: Symptoms Causes & Treatments

Eye cancer generally means the different types of cancers that develop in the eyes. Overgrowth of abnormal cells in the eyes is the main cause of the disease. Indeed very rare kind of cancer, it starts somewhere in or on surface of the eye. This disease affects adults as well as children. Symptoms of eye cancer in adults and children differ to a great degree. Eye cancer symptoms depend on the type of cancer a person is affected with. Some of the symptoms of eye cancer in adults are: tiny floating spots in vision called floaters, pain in the eyes, red eyes, dark spots on iris, blurring of vision in one eye. Secondary intraocular cancer spreads to the eyes from other parts of the body and is not essentially an eye cancer in its true form. These cancers spread into that part of the eyeball called uvea.
