<p> The California Dental Association recommends a New Years resolution that focuses on a commitment to healthy oral hygiene habits. Among others, three essential steps for good oral health are brushing, flossing and seeing your dentist regularly. Get into a routine of brushing with a fluoride toothpaste for two minutes at least twice a day, flossing regularly and scheduling periodic dental checkups with your CDA member dentist. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Brushing and flossing daily are the most effective ways to remove plaque and keep teeth and gums healthy, said Lindsey Robinson, DDS, a pediatric dentist. Make it a habit for yourself and children. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Parents should introduce a good oral hygiene routine to their children at a young age so they develop healthy lifelong habits. Wipe an infants teeth, especially along the gum line, with a soft cloth or soft-bristled toothbrush after feeding. Begin brushing your childs teeth with a pea-sized dab of fluoride toothpaste at age two and continue to help your child brush and floss their teeth until they have mastered this skill  usually around age 7.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>It is important that each family member use his or her own toothbrush and CDA recommends replacing toothbrushes every three to four months, or earlier if bristles look worn. In addition, maintaining a healthy, nutritious diet plays an integral role in dental health as well as overall health. Load up on fruits and vegetables as these foods promote saliva flow, helping to neutralize acids that attack tooth enamel. </p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Practice good oral hygiene habits regularly and you can prevent dental pain and reduce the risk of cavities and more serious dental problems later on, said Robinson, CDA president-elect. And try to limit the number of between-meal snacks. When you do reach for a snack, choose low-sugar, nutrient-rich foods, like raw fruits and vegetables, milk, cheese or plain yogurt.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Stay away from sugar-laden sodas and drink plenty of water, especially after meals, to keep gums hydrated and rinse away food particles that would otherwise remain in the mouth and promote bacterial growth that causes tooth decay.</p>

If you are going into surgery in the near future, avoid ginger altogether. </p>

 Diabetes is a health condition that causes too much glucose in the bloodstream. Glucose is what causes your blood sugar levels to go up and down in the body. There are two types of diabetes you can get. The diabetes types are type 1 and type 2.  Both types can make choosing the proper foods for diabetes difficult since you have to maintain a normal blood sugar level by watching the amount of carbohydrates you eat. Some people find choosing the right food for a diabetic diet difficult, but it actually isn’t.
</p>
<p>
 Some of the foods for diabetes that are excellent to eat are high fibered foods such as beans, deep green vegetables, and fruits. They contain several vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in them that help protect and prevent health conditions like diabetes and can even help treat it by maintaining a healthy diet, weight, and blood sugar level. Beans, veggies, and fruits also contain high amounts of fiber which help keep the body full and satisfied because sometimes diabetes can make you hungry all the time. Plus beans, veggies, and fruits contain natural sugars in them that will not affect your blood sugar levels like regular white table sugar will.
</p>
<p>
 Another excellent food for diabetes is yogurt. Yogurt is high in protein and calcium to help keep your body strong and healthy, and it contains very little fat which is great for someone who has to stay to a diabetic diet. Yogurt also contains healthy bacteria in it that help strengthen and protect the body’s immune system and keep the stomach and gut healthy. Yogurt also helps keep you full and makes and excellent snack or breakfast because you can add fruit and oats to it. If you do not like yogurt you could always try cottage cheese because it has less sugar and fat and a healthy amount of protein in it
</p>
<p>
 A few other great foods for diabetes are raw nuts, fish and tofu because they are high in protein and contain vitamins and minerals that the body needs to help keep strong and healthy. These types of foods are even less fatty and are better to eat than a hamburger and fried chicken. You can also eat protein rich foods such as chicken and eggs in moderation.
</p>
<p>
 You will also want to add some whole grains to your diet such as brown rice and oats. Oat and brown rice help keep you feeling full and energized because they contain healthy amounts of carbohydrates in them, and carbohydrates are needed to help provide the body with energy.
</p>
<p>
 Choosing foods for diabetes doesn’t need to be difficult. All you need to keep in mind to stay away from processed foods that contain unhealthy amounts of sugar and fat in them, and eat a healthy whole food diet that consists of low fat, lean protein, and a healthy amount of carbohydrates that you can get from eating fresh fruits and veggies. Stay away from foods high in sugar and fat and you should be good.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>What does the Bible, what several faiths believe to be the Word of God, say about nutrition and healthy eating?</strong> Apparently, it says much. Was there an &#8220;original Bible diet&#8221;? Evidently, yes. Was there only just one? Apparently not. In actuality, there were more than one original Bible diet.  Indeed, there were two distinct diets during two different stages of early recorded history. Perhaps, three can even be considered.  And all three were implemented for different reasons and at different times in antiquity.
</p>
<p><strong>In a study of the Bible, one finds at least two different &#8220;original Bible diets&#8221; recorded in the Bible which transpired during two distinct periods of history. There is also a third Bible diet which may or may not have been actually included with the very first recorded Bible diet.</strong> The three were Biblical accounts written by Moses the ex-Egyptian noble, ex-fugitive, shepherd and whom many in at least three major religions in the world, consider to be the &#8220;deliverer&#8221; of the Children of Israel. He also figures greatly, historically speaking, as a lawgiver, judge, administrator, military commander and strategist.
</p>
<p><strong>The first recorded Biblical account reads as follows in the first book of the Bible, Genesis chapter 1, verse 29. </strong> It took place before the so-called &#8220;fall&#8221; of man. In other words, before man &#8220;fell into sin&#8221; from his state of God-created perfection due to his willful disobedience.
</p>
<p>&#8220;And God said, Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed: to you it shall be for meat.&#8221; </p>
<p>
 Thus, it was recorded by Moses that God spoke to Adam in the Garden of Eden, (which many scholars and archaeologists today believe was in the nation of Iraq north of the capital city of Baghdad).
</p>
<p><strong>The first original Biblical diet as recorded in Genesis &#8220;before the Fall&#8221;, is comprised of the following:</strong></p>
<p>
 Grains: Wheat, corn, rye, barley, rice, millet, oats and buckwheat.
</p>
<p>
 Seeds: Sunflower, sesame, flax, and pumpkin seeds, etc.
</p>
<p>
 Legumes: Soybeans, lentils, peas, peanuts and other beans.
</p>
<p>
 Succulents ( those containing seeds): Eggplant, okra, bell pepper, squash, green beans, pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes and melons.
</p>
<p>&#8220;…and every tree in which the fruit of a tree yield seed…&#8221;</p>
<p>
 This category is the woody, perennial plants, shrubs or bushes such as:
</p>
<p>
 Fruit trees: Citrus fruit, sub-acid fruit, sweet fruit, and neutral fruit.
</p>
<p>
 Nuts: Almonds, pecans, cashews, brazil nuts, walnuts, chestnuts, filberts, acorns and pine nuts.
</p>
<p>
 One can also read in Gen. 1:30 that God was supposed to have spoken further to Adam, the first man, concerning a specific diet tailor made not only for Adam but for the animal kingdom as well. One reads that originally, the green herbs were given by God as food for the animals:
</p>
<p>&#8220;And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth…I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.&#8221;  <strong>(This is considered by some students of the Bible to be perhaps a second original Bible diet added at a later period.)</strong></p>
<p><strong>The third diet, after the &#8220;Fall&#8221; </strong></p>
<p>
 However, one can read that later after the period of the &#8220;fall&#8221; of man from a state of perfection, (Gen. 3:17,18), there was an addition to his diet. Perhaps this was to help fight the disease, sickness and infirmities which had by then entered humanity and the earth as a result of Adam’s and his wife, Eve’s disobedience.
</p>
<p>
 Some Biblical scholars believe that there was needed, supposedly, a natural reinforcement to the constitution of man which had now become weakened. This addition remains a part of our diets to this very day.
</p>
<p>&#8220;And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife…cursed is the ground for thy sake…and thou shalt eat the herb of the field&#8221;. Now, we observe that herbs of the earth, (root vegetables or vegetables) were added. Also added were certain types of meat, fish, and cattle.
</p>
<p>
 Some of these vegetables and herbs of the earth include:
</p>
<p>
 Leafy herbs: Celery, cabbage, kale chard lettuce, etc.
</p>
<p>
 Flowers: Globe artichoke, broccoli, cauliflower.
</p>
<p>
 Roots: Carrots, beets, potatoes, turnips, etc. (1)
</p>
<p><strong>Not all fruit and vegetables are equal. </strong>A pyramid or a hierarchy of Bible food has been created according to how different seeds are propagated and germinated within a tree, plant or herb.
</p>
<p>
 There are three different groups of plant food which are very distinctly individual. They in turn satisfy different nutritional and health needs. Sometimes persons commonly use the terms fruit, herbs and vegetable loosely and interchangeably, yet the Bible makes a clear distinction between the three groups.
</p>
<p>
 The Bible health plan indicates that fruit, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and legumes are the foundation of a healthy diet. Herbs, safe, clean meat (poultry, fish, and certain forms of cattle and herds), meat by-products and vegetable oils are optional but also form essential elements in a building block that constitutes a Bible Food Pyramid. <p>
 Over recent years, there have been several &#8220;diets&#8221; which claim to come from the Bible. However, upon careful examination this has not proven to be fact. Obviously, the only original Bible Diet is the one mentioned and recorded in the Book Genesis, &#8220;the beginning.&#8221;
</p>
<p>
 Some vegetarians and vegans have taken the Bible and converted it into a platform for their eating styles. As a matter of fact, the Biblical diet plan may seem similar to vegetarian, kosher or vegan diets. However, in the beginning there was no need for kosher food as everything God was recorded as having created was &#8220;clean&#8221; and perfect to begin with.
</p>
<p>
 The written account of the beginning of mankind according to the Bible, is very clear and specific in it’s recommendation for a healthy and nutritious diet. Man, over the years seems to be intent in eating in his self-determined manner according to his likes and dislikes.
</p>
<p>
 Whatever the facts are concerning nutrition and healthy eating, one fact does stand out: there was more than simply one original Bible diet. No matter what newer renditions and interpretations of the Bible there may be, there were more than one original Bible diet.
</p>

Studies have shown people who eat more whole grains tend to have a healthier heart.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A quick definition of healthy carbs and unhealthy carbs</strong></p>
<p><strong>Healthy carbs (sometimes known as good carbs) include whole grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables. Healthy carbs are digested slowly, helping you feel full longer and keeping blood sugar and insulin levels stable.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Unhealthy carbs (or bad carbs) are foods such as white flour, refined sugar and white rice that have been stripped of all bran, fiber and nutrients. Unhealthy carbs digest quickly and cause spikes in blood sugar levels and energy.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Include a variety of whole grains in your healthy diet, including whole wheat, brown rice, millet, quinoa, and barley. Experiment with different grains to find your favorites.</strong><strong>Make sure you&#8217;re really getting whole grains. Be aware that the words stone-ground, multi-grain, 100% wheat, or bran, don’t necessarily mean that a product is whole grain. Look for the new Whole Grain Stamp. <p><strong>Fiber: An essential component of a healthy diet</strong></p>
<p><strong>Dietary fiber, found in plant foods (fruit, vegetables and whole grains) is essential for maintaining a healthy digestive system. Fiber helps support a healthy diet by helping you feel full faster and for a longer amount of time, and keeping your blood sugar stable. A healthy diet contains approximately 20-30 grams of fiber a day, but most of us only get about half that amount.<br />
 The two types of fiber are soluble and insoluble.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Soluble fiber can dissolve in water and can also help to lower blood fats and maintain blood sugar. Primary sources are beans, fruit and oat products.</strong><strong>Insoluble fiber cannot dissolve in water, so it passes directly through the digestive system. <p><strong>Monounsaturated fats, from plant oils like canola oil, peanut oil, and olive oil, as well as avocados, nuts (like almonds, hazelnuts, and pecans) and seeds (such as pumpkin, sesame).</strong><strong>Polyunsaturated fats, including Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, found in fatty fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovies, sardines, and some cold water fish oil supplements. Other sources of polyunsaturated fats are unheated sunflower, corn, soybean, and flaxseed oils, and walnuts.</strong>
<p><strong>Reduce or eliminate from your diet:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Saturated fats, found primarily in animal sources including red meat and whole milk dairy products.</strong><strong>Trans fats, found in vegetable shortenings, some margarines, crackers, candies, cookies, snack foods, fried foods, baked goods, and other processed foods made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.</strong> </p>

 The principles of healthy eating, as advocated by most responsible weight loss plans, have not changed much in recent years. So any diet proclaiming it is &#8216;brand new&#8217; or &#8216;revolutionary&#8217; should be treated with caution; the presentation may be different, or other aspects may be new, but a sound weight loss diet should follow standard, familiar principles. There are other signs that indicate how effective and healthy a diet is likely to be, and to help you decide whether it is the kind of plan you would like to follow. The main features of a <strong>BAD </strong>diet are below.
</p>
<p><strong>*Suggest That a Normal Healthy Diet Is Not Enough To Ensure Good Health</strong></p>
<p>
 Some diet plans prey on the fears of the &#8216;worried well&#8217; by claiming that it is impossible to eat healthily without taking some supplements or special foods, whether you are trying to lose weight or not. However, this is counter to standard medical advice.
</p>
<p><strong>*Promise Weight Loss No Matter How Much, or What, You Eat</strong></p>
<p>
 Claims that you can lose weight by eating &#8216;as much as you like&#8217; are sound as long as the unlimited foods are specified : no one can lose weight by eating unlimited amounts of absolutely any food.
</p>
<p><strong>*Claim That You Can Lose Weight From Specific Areas</strong></p>
<p>
 When fat is lost, it is lost from all over the body and therefore it is not possible to &#8216;direct&#8217; a weight loss diet towards a specific place, such as your bottom. It may seem that weight seems to disappear more easily from some areas (&#8216;apple&#8217; shapes may find their waist shrinks quite quickly, for instance), and exercise can help tone up muscle tissue and boost weight loss, but otherwise it is not possible to spot-reduce.
</p>
<p><strong>*Promote Eating Only One Type of Food or Foods With Special Properties</strong></p>
<p>
 Different diet plans set about achieving the energy (calorie) deficit in various ways. Eating only one type of food is a very effective way of reducing overall energy intake, especially if the recommended food is low in calories, such as fruit or eggs. Restricting certain combinations of foods (such as having a burger with no bread) is another way of making an energy deficit more likely. However, this is the only benefit of following such a limited diet and there may well be health risks that are associated with cutting out specific groups of foods. Also, there are no foods that have the ability to make the body burn fat faster to any significant degree; it is the overall energy intake that counts.
</p>
<p><strong>*Promise Weight Loss Without Dieting Or Exercise</strong></p>
<p>
 You may be told that you can lose weight &#8216;without dieting&#8217;, but read the small print and you are likely to find that the plan in question &#8216;doesn’t feel like a diet&#8217; because it is filling, or consists of everyday foods. Nonetheless, if you are creating an energy deficit, you are dieting; it is impossible to lose weight without either reducing your calorie intake or increasing your calorie expenditure &#8211; preferably both.
</p>
<p><strong>*Recommend Large Doses of Vitamin or Mineral Supplements</strong></p>
<p>
 A weight loss diet which is based on sound healthy eating principles should not normally require any vitamin or mineral supplements to be taken, except in those cases where people may have special dietary needs or restrictions. Nutritionists agree that it is generally much better to get vitamins and minerals from food rather than supplements, so a diet that relies on these may be too restrictive to ensure enough nutrients will be available from the food on offer.
</p>
<p><strong>*Promise Permanent Weight Loss Even When The Diet Is Over</strong></p>
<p>
 Some diets, especially those that claim to boost the metabolism with special foods or supplements, promise that the effect will continue even after the course of treatment or diet plan is finished. However, there is no evidence that this is the case.
</p>
<p><strong>*Claim to Induce Substantial Weight Loss By Absorbing Fat or Calories</strong></p>
<p>

<p>This diet, while low in calories, is too restrictive to maintain long term health. Edamame does provide protein and heart healthy isoflavones, and strawberries provide a variety of vitamins and antioxidants, but her diet is not diverse enough to maintain optimal nutritional status. A smarter plan would be to add a variety of high volume, lower calorie fruits and vegetables along with some protein rich foods such as eggs and fish which are rich in omega 3 fatty acids. She also needs to add some whole grain foods to her diet to increase her daily fiber intake.</p>

<p>Victoria Beckham was seen sipping tea on her eleven hour flight to Los Angeles. Not only is Victoria not supplying her body with essential fuel and nutrients, she&#8217;s also potentially sending her body into starvation mode, causing her metabolism to slow down. For successful weight control, it&#8217;s best to eat small meals every 3-4 hours throughout the day.</p>

There are so many different diseases  that can be caused by unhealthy eating, from cancer to diabetes to stroke. <p>But, what is healthy food?   If you want to eat healthy the first thing you have to do is understand  what types of foods are healthy and what types of foods aren’t. </p>
<p>Healthy foods or a healthy  diet will consist of several elements.  There is protein, which  is the building block of muscles.  There is fat, as well.   You need a balanced intake of omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids  to have a healthy diet.  There are vegetables.  You need all  sorts of vegetables, especially green vegetables that are especially  fibrous.  There is also fruit. Fruit provides vitamins for your  diet.  Whole grain food, such as oats, rice, pasta and breads are  also known as an important part of a healthy diet. </p>
<p>Drinking water is another important  part of a healthy diet.  If you drink large amounts of soda, you  might consider switching out some of your soda drinking for water drinking.   Contrary to popular belief, drinking soda does not cause you to become  dehydrated, however it is as not as effective at keeping you hydrated  as water is.</p>
<p>Knowledge is only half the  battle of eating healthy, however. Once you know how to eat healthy,  the next step is being willing to do it. It’s easy to think about  all of the wonderful ways you can eat better and feel better, but it’s  another thing entirely to actually do it when you’re sitting at the  dinner table.</p>
<p>One thing to be careful of,  however, is that research into health food is always ongoing. One day,  researchers will declare that eggs are bad for you because they are  full of cholesterol.    If you&#8217;ve ever done any research on detoxification, cleansing, or fast weight loss, you&#8217;ve probably heard a thing or two about the Master Cleanse Diet.
</p>
<p>
   You know, the lemonade diet that&#8217;s suposed to clean out your colon, clear up your skin, and help you lose 20 pounds in just a few days&#8217; time.
</p>
<p>
   But is this all just hype? Is the Master Cleanse really a good or even safe option for cleansing the body?
</p>
<p>
   Let&#8217;s have a look, shall we?
</p>
<p><strong>What is the Master Cleanse Diet?</strong></p>
<p>
   The Master Cleanse is a two week cleanse that consists of a home-made lemonade drink, daily salt water flushes (optional), and daily laxatives (optional).
</p>
<p>
   The meat of the program is the lemonade drink, also known as the Lemonade Diet. Here&#8217;s the recipe:
</p>
<p>    2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice</p>
<p>    2 tablespoons of maple syrup</p>
<p>    1/8 of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper</p>
<p>    8 oz of water</p>
<p>
   You are supposed to drink 6-12 glasses of this concoction (I think concoction is an appropriate way to refer to this mess of a liquid, don&#8217;t you?) everyday for 10-14 days straight.
</p>
<p>
   It is also recommended to drink saltwater each morning (2 teaspoons sea salt, 1 liter water) and take a laxative at night. The only other &#8220;food&#8221; that is allowed is herbal tea in the evening, if desired.
</p>
<p><strong>How Does it Work?</strong></p>
<p>
   According to its proponents, the Master Cleanse is a great tool for detoxification and weight loss. The lemon juice provides vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, the maple sugar provides calories, and the cayenne supposedly breaks up mucus and helps with digestion and weight loss.
</p>
<p>
   The saltwater flushes and laxatives are intended to clean out the colon and carry toxins out of the body.
</p>
<p><strong>Do People Actually Detox?</strong></p>
<p>
   For the vast majority of people who eat a standard unhealthy Western diet, doing the Master Cleanse will more than likely provide positive results.
</p>
<p>
   But these positive results have nothing to do with the the Master Cleanse itself. They are caused by the simple fact that the cleanse (like most cleanses) eliminates so many damaged and deranged foods and substances from the diet, including meat, cheese, milk, grains, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.
</p>
<p>
   It isn&#8217;t the lemon juice, syrup, or cayenne that is &#8220;detoxifying&#8221; you. This is impossible. The body is what detoxifies and heals, particularly the liver, not the food you eat.
</p>
<p>
   So you don&#8217;t have to drink a disgusting liquid or restrict calories to detox and lose weight. A simple diet of fresh, raw produce will give you the same results.
</p>
<p>
   Even better? Such a diet is something that you can (and should) follow for a lifetime, which means that once you start, you will continue to get healthy, lose weight, and keep it off.
</p>
<p><strong>What About Weight Loss?</strong></p>
<p>
   Yes, people do lose weight on the Master Cleanse. Any diet so low in calories will do that for you. The bigger question is whether or not these people can maintain the weight loss.
</p>
<p>
   Permanent weight loss is something that the Master Cleanse, just like any cleanse, cannot guarantee. The only way you can continue to lose weight after the cleanse is to adopt a healthy diet and exercise plan.
</p>
<p>
   If you go back to your same old ways that brought the weight on in the first place, you will gain it all back, as so many people who fall for the &#8220;miracle of cleansing&#8221; crap trap do.
</p>
<p><strong>Is It Safe?</strong></p>
<p>
   Although extremely disgusting (yes, I tried the diet many years ago), the drink isn&#8217;t likely going to send you to the hospital as some sources claim. Remember, the lemonade drink is just that&#8230;LEMONADE! It&#8217;s nothing more than sugar water with some spicy powder mixed in to make ya sweat.
</p>
<p>
   The biggest problem I have with the Master Cleanse actually isn&#8217;t with the lemonade drink, but with the recommended saltwater flushes and laxatives that are used to clean out your colon by making you go number two.
</p>
<p>
   Salt, even so-called healthy sea salt, is a poison and should not be consumed for any reason. Laxatives are COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY and laxative abuse has become a serious problem (particularly among women) here in the US and other industrialized nations. I find it quite alarming that taking laxatives is a recommendation in a so-called healthy cleanse.
</p>
<p>
   I use the loo 3 or more times each and every day (2-3 is the &#8220;goal&#8221; while on the Master Cleanse) and yet I never eat salt nor do I take laxatives. I just eat a healthy low fat raw vegan diet and my body takes care of the rest.
</p>
<p>

<p><strong>The Bottom Line</strong></p>
<p>
   You don&#8217;t have to drink lemony sugar water to cleanse. You definitely should NOT drink saltwater or take laxatives if you want to detox and lose weight.

   There are so many other cheap, effective, healthy and TASTY ways to cleanse and help you get started on the path to a healthy lifestyle.

 It may be tough to keep a well balanced diet during your first trimester, but this is tough for many woman. The queasiness can cause some woman to eat more and gain weight, while the problems with getting and keeping the food down can cause some woman to end up losing weight.</p>

 During your first trimester, you will must prevent malnutrition and dehydration.</p>
<p><strong>Calories.</strong><br />
 Pregnant woman need to consume around 300 calories more than usual daily. To do this, you should listen to your body when you are hungry. This may mean eating as much food as you can from the bottom of the food pyramid, since you do want the food you eat to be healthy.</p>

 If you find that you are gaining weight too slow, then try to eat small meals and slightly increase the fat in your diet.</p>
<p>

<p>To find a good diet is a tough road and can be difficult but finding a good and also cheap diet is even more painful. I searched a long time before I realised that there are literally tons of diets out there and each and everyone of them claims to be the best and healthiest diet. So after trying so many of them with decent results I gave up BUT then I found a website that offered free Recipes and articles about weight loss and they were different than all the others. They did not hype their product but instead gave valuable and useful information.</p>
<p>So I bought their diet program and was more than happy with it. I actually lost weight&#8230;. and it wasn&#8217;t as harsh as all the others that I tried. I just had to change my eating habits and the recipes that they offer were all so different and everyday you would do something new and it didn&#8217;t become boring like most of the other diets out there.</p>
<p>Here is just an example of one of their many recipes that they offer.</p>
<p><strong>Spaghetti <a href="http://www.fitness-headbands.com/?lang=2">Squash</a> &amp; Turkey Meatballs</strong></p>
<p>Spaghetti Squash &amp; Sauce</p>
<p>Ingredients</p>
<p>1 spaghetti squash (4-5 pounds)</p>
<p>1 onion, chopped</p>
<p>1 clove garlic, minced</p>
<p>6 plum tomatoes, chopped</p>
<p>½ cup crushed tomato</p>
<p>2 tablespoons tomato paste</p>
<p>½ cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped</p>
<p>Directions<br />
1. </p>
<p>Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Wrap the whole squash in foil. Place it on a baking sheet and bake for 1 to 2 hours, until tender when pierced with a fork, turning the squash over halfway through cooking. Set aside to cool.</p>
<p>2. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat. (You can use butter to aid in the cooking.) Add the onions and garlic and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until softened. Add the plum tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and basil. Simmer gently for 15 minutes. Set aside.</p>
<p>3. Make the turkey meatballs (see below). Pour the tomato sauce that you set aside previously over the meatballs in the baking dish. Cook for 10 more minutes.</p>
<p>4. Cut the cooked spaghetti squash in half. Remove and discard the seeds. Scoop out 3 cups of squash from the shell. (Reserve the remaining squash for future use). Arrange the squash on a serving platter and top with the meatball-marinara sauce mixture.</p>
<p><strong>Turkey Meatballs</strong></p>
<p>Ingredients</p>
<p>1 lb ground turkey</p>
<p>1 egg, beaten</p>
<p>½ cup sprouted grain bread crumbs</p>
<p>1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce</p>
<p>1-2 cloves garlic (depending on how much you like garlic)</p>
<p>1 teaspoon onion powder</p>
<p>½ teaspoon red pepper flakes</p>
<p>1 teaspoon salt</p>
<p>Directions</p>
<p>1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.</p>
<p>2. Mix all ingredients together in bowl, roll into balls.</p>
<p>3. Place in baking dish.</p>
<p>4. Bake for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.</p>
